He holds a degree in Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, and a Master’s degree and PhD in Social Psychology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He is currently a full academic staff member in the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Humanities and Social Communication Technologies, and a researcher at the University Institute for Research and Technological Development (IDT) at the Metropolitan Technological University. He has served as principal investigator and co-investigator, working as part of multidisciplinary teams on both national and international projects. His recent work includes publications in Qualitative Sociology, Polis and Quaderns de Psicologia, amongst others.
