In September 2025, a research agreement was signed between the Matters of Time project and the Chilean Ministry of Health. The purpose of this agreement is to set out the conditions for carrying out joint research into the practical dynamics that shape temporal processes in the field of policy-making.
As set out in the agreement itself:
The aim of this agreement is to formalise the relationship between the parties with regard to joint actions relating to the research project entitled: “Matters of Time: Temporal Devices and Temporal Regimes in Public and Private Healthcare Services in the Metropolitan Region”, awarded to the University by FONDECYT via Exempt Resolution No. 2819 dated 12 April 2024.
The specific objectives include:
- 1. To foster mutual support for the development of studies, reports, analyses, evaluations, and basic and applied research in areas of mutual interest to the parties, subject to prior agreement and authorisation by the Under-Secretary.
- To exchange publicly available information relevant to the research objectives, as well as to transfer technical knowledge between the two bodies, thereby contributing to the design, development and monitoring of multisectoral public policies and generating new information on the temporal implications of public health policy design, subject to authorisation by the Under-Secretary. It is expressly stipulated that the publicly available information provided by the Under-Secretary’s Office shall be used by the University exclusively for academic and research purposes.
- Furthermore, any other cooperative measures agreed upon during the implementation of this agreement between the parties shall be formalised as an annex or amendment to this agreement, as appropriate.
